Hayes Cook - Director
Hayes starts his 5th year as the Southern Division Director for Team Elite Baseball and Synergy Sports Academy. He has also coached amateur baseball for 10 years.
Hayes played baseball at South Georgia State College from 1999-2001, and then finished his athletic career at Kennesaw State University in 2003. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors in Chemistry, and a Masters in Professional Selling.
Hayes is from Albany, Ga, and his specialties include hitting, catching and player development.
Jay Flynt - Assistant Director and Instructor
Jay has worked for Synergy Sports Academy and Team Elite Baseball for over 4 years now. He works closely as a Manager for the 15U TES, and oversees the various registrations. Jay played baseball at Delta State from 1995-1996, Northwest Community College from 1996-1997, and finished up his athletic career at Mississippi College in 1998. Jay graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelors in History, and a Masters in Sports and Recreation.
Jay is from Oxford, Ms, and his specialties include pitching, hitting, and fielding.
Karlie Gillam- Softball Coordinator and Instructor
Karlie is in her first year with Synergy Sports Academy as the Softball Coordinator. She oversees the 18U Synergy Elite Softball Team, and directs all sports information.
Karlie played softball at Kennesaw State University in 2009, Bevill State Community College in 2011, and finished up her career at the University of North Georgia. She graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2014 with a Bachelors in Physical Education, a Minor in Leadership, and a Masters in Physical Education. Karlie coached three years under head coach, Mike Davenport at North Georgia (Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant). She then was the Assistant coach at South Georgia State College in 2016/17. Currently, Karlie also is one of the Assistant coaches at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga.
Karlie is from Atlanta, Ga, and her specialties include hitting and fielding.
John Barnard- Instructor and Facilities
John is going on his second year with Synergy Sports Academy.. He played baseball at Albany State University from 2013-2016, where he is a current student. John plans to graduate with a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education.
John is from Covington, Ga, and his specialty is pitching.
Josh Wardrip- Business Development
Josh has been with Synergy Sports Academy for almost a year now. He is in charge of scheduling and field maintenance. He is also an Assistant baseball coach for the 14U Team Elite South. Josh attended Valdosta State from 2013-2014, and is now a current student at Albany State University. Josh plans on graduating with a Bachelors in Accounting.
Josh is from Albany, Ga, and his specialties include hitting and costumer relations.
Cara Law- Instructor
Cara starts her first year with Synergy Sports Academy as our softball pitching instructor. Cara played softball at Wallace State Hanceville in 2010, Darton State in 2011, and finished up her career at Lindsey Wilson College in 2013. Cara was then the Assistant softball coach at Saks High School in Anniston, Al in 2014, and the Head coach from 2015-2016. Cara is currently the Pitching coach at Georgia Southwestern State University.
Cara is from Anniston, Al, and her specialty is pitching.
Dyllan Bates - Instructor
Dyllan has a strong background with Synergy Sports Academy, as he played 3 years for Team Elite South. He decided to become an instructor for Synergy Sports Academy after Coaching Team Elite South Youth Baseball Summer of 2017. Currently, Dyllan is pursuing a Bachelors in Math at Albany State.
Dyllan is from Lee County, and his specialties include hitting and catching.
Every single one of the above named loves the spirit of competition, teaching athletes, and winning no matter the challenge. We the people of Synergy pledge to that spirit of competition to always find a way moving in the direction of success.
