Former TES player, Steven Williams, wins Golden Glove for Auburn University Baseball
Synergy Sports Academy and Team Elite South want to recognize Steven Williams for having an outstanding freshman Fall semester so far as an Auburn Tiger. Williams played for Team Elite South while in high school. He signed a scholarship to play SEC baseball for Auburn University, and has not looked back since.
What has been your biggest transformation from high school to college? [Williams] The biggest transformation for me would have to be learning how to manage time and use it wisely. Having practice, class, and having to get 10 study hours a week is not easy and if you don’t manage you’re time well, you’ll have some trouble.
What is your mindset as a freshman a part of an SEC collegiate baseball program? [Williams] My mindset as a freshman in the SEC is to come in and take it day by day and just try and get better every day. I try to not let things move to fast and slowing the game down is a big part of being a successful freshman in the SEC.
In what ways did Team Elite South baseball prepare you for college baseball? [Williams] eam Elite South prepared me in multiple ways for college baseball, two things stand out. The emphasis on practice and hard work and getting better every day being one. Then just the grind it is to be a student athlete and all the things that come with it.
